The mission of Greenlight Yourself is to encourage and inspire artists to take full charge of their careers. I believe you have the power to create the career you crave and that you don't need anyone's permission to do it! You can simply Greenlight Yourself!
How It All Began
When I first started in this wonderful business of show I had no idea how any of it worked. All I knew was the finished product--being on TV, on stage, in the movies. I had no clue what it took to get there!
After knocking around for a while with some successes and more than a few missteps I began to build a base of information and wisdom that I wished someone had shared with me before I started. Or had at least pulled me aside and told me along the way! Boy oh boy would my life have been easier! I made some spectacularly bad decisions in my early years, some of which I'm still overcoming but I can only chalk those up to lessons learned.
Some months ago, I started thinking about how I could help actors who are still early in their careers and I began putting together all the information I wished someone had imparted to me. And that's how Greenlight Yourself was born.
I quickly realized that the lessons I'd learned were applicable to artists in all areas, not just acting. So I broadened my perspective and created this 'Manual' that I hope will benefit artists and creative types working in many disciplines.

Each month I highlight artists from various disciplines that have embraced the Greenlight philosophy and created avenues of opportunity for themselves. It is my hope that their stories can provide insight and encouragement for you.
